The big Briggster Boy made the big 8 year old decision to be baptized and officially became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
It was a fun day full of family and even a friend's baby to hold! We enjoyed her because we haven't had one of those in a long time.
We took the opportunity to take a family photo (this happens about every 3 years).
And, of course, Gehrig had to show off his newly honed skill of taking pictures of friends holding a "real" light saber.
And to top it all off we got to meet this guy: the soon-to-be Uncle K. Yep, he's marrying my baby sister. She's all the kids favorite aunt - you know, the one you call when Mom says "no". So they had to make sure this guy was OK for their Auntie. Gehrig's summation was, "Yeah, he's cool. He likes Lego's." Well, there ya go - he's in like Flynn!Ty eventually sat on his lap, which is a huge compliment.
Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without watermelon for the Ty Guy. I love how his eyes crossed as he look up at Uncle Kurt.
I love having family close so we can share these special days!
