Yep, she's sporting the latest in cast technology! Her cast features light blue (her favorite) and glow-in-the-dark stripes (a nod to her brother's favorite Star Wars light sabers.)
How'd it happen? She was playing flag football in p.e.. When time was up, they all ran into the locker room. She tripped and fell, and somebody stepped on her wrist- twice!
She is such a trooper that she didn't complain very much. She even participated in her horsemanship show on Saturday, then finally complained enough that we decided we'd better have it looked at. Sure enough, the x-ray showed a slight break in the growth plate of the radial. (The growth plates were open, by the way, indicating she's still growing!)
At first she was thrilled to have the attention, now - not so much. It's starting to itch and smell. Good thing she gets a new one next week!
