Mormon Helping Hands day of service

On May 8th, there were about 1,000 members of the church in the San Jose area that volunteered time at city parks to clean them up and get them ready for summer. Due to the economy, we've seen some closures and projects that just weren't getting completed. It was a big undertaking for the organizers, but a lot was accomplished and our family personally had a great time. We got to paint giant cow cutouts for the entrances to Emma Prusch Farms - something we'll enjoy going back to see year after year. Above is a video that one of the stake members made up and posted on YouTube. Natalee helped out in the daycare center and you can see her fleece horse coat on the right hand side of one of the still pictures in the video above. I can't figure out how to post the video on the side bar without it cutting the right half, and therefore Natalee, off.

How cool! What a nice way for a community to come together.
