Lazy Days in the Sun

The week before July 4th we headed for the beach.  There was a junior lifeguard competition going on at Sea Cliff.  It was pretty cool to watch those kids running and going through their paces.  Gehrig and Daniel, of course, found some pretty awesome driftwood for a teepee.  I of course, got the first burn of the season, even with sunscreen.  FYI- the spray stuff doesn't work as well and has to be reapplied...A LOT!  I'm still peeling.

That weekend, we helped Kate and Brian move into their new digs.  Brian's skills with plastic wrap are astounding!  And Kate was so cool headed through the whole, tiring process.  We are glad for their family to be back under the same roof.  I love this shot of Happy Dad.  Never mind that the young one's are chillin' on the phone and the back gate of the truck....they had been and continued to work very hard until it was empty.

Ty knew he was home because that's where the gumball machine is!

Gehrig found an empty box and decided the cat needed a knew condo.  Mousse loves it!

To top of July 4th Kurt made is traditional home made ice cream.  Strawberry, of course!

And, the Summer's invited us up to swim in their new community pool.  It was a great day.
