Felton Covered Bridge

The same day that we visited Big Basin, Kurt took us to a bridge he'd seen on his rounds for work.  Behind the park sign is an ox thing carved into a giant log.  Belle and I had to check it out.

Here's the awesome covered bridge - believed to be the tallest in the world.  I still don't know why Felton needed a covered bridge (not really very much, if any, snow) but it used to be the only way into Felton.
PS.  I knew it was going to be a great day when Natalee posed with Belle for this picture.  The key to successful family outings:  take Belle!

Tucked behind the bridge was this darling little community garden.

We had some fun talking through the tubes on the playground.

Gehrig was the first to scurry up the "rock" arch on the playground.

Not be outdone by her little brother, Natalee had to give it a go and up she went.

She struggled, but finally made it to the top and stayed long enough to get a picture of both of them!

Down was another story!  It looks a lot higher on your way down.  Good thing Daddy was there to guide her footsteps.
